Robotic Workshops during term time
There is a Friday after school Robotics and Electronics club in Russley, Christchurch, in term time, 3 to 5:30pm. This will be ongoing through the year.
A combination of structured tutoring and student led explorations are used. These sessions are for beginners and advanced students. A variety of robot and electronic kits and components are available.
Cost is $25/session payable in advance per term. If you are interested in after school workshops please contact Sue.
Robotic Holiday Workshops in Christchurch
Nov-2011: There are two workshops in the next holiday. The first will provide the opportunity for students to learn about Solar Energy, build up their own racing car and race each other. The second will teach students the basic of electronics and how it is used in robotics. Both workshops suitable for students 8 to 14 years. Bookings are essential. One day workshop on 17 September 2011 where students build their robots from electronic parts using the Picaxe.
The holiday workshop planned for the 25th and 26th of July 2011 was postponed due to the heavy snowfall in Christchurch. We had lots of fun with the snow and the workshop was postponed one day because people were advised not to drive.
